Season 3 of Netflix’s series The Witcher is currently in production. However there’s no trailer and no release date yet, It is known that which book the new season is adapting, and showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich has revealed a few details about the upcoming episodes, GamesRadar reports.

The latest update is that filming had to be paused due to COVID-19, but fortunately it is ongoing now. So far, the release date of The Witcher season 3 is yet to be announced. Season 1 and season 2 of The Witcher came on Netflix in December 2019 and December 2021 respectively.

There is a set pattern and with the prequel, Blood Origin confirmed for a 2022 release window, it’s fairly likely that Geralt’s next live-action adventure arrive in 2023.

The second season’s production which was stopped due to COVID-19 shutdowns and an injury to lead Henry Cavill started in February 2020 and ran until April 2021.

The first season was far less spotted in its schedule, as it lasted from October 2018 to May 2019, before launching seven months later in December 2019, GamesRadar reports.

A report from Redanian Intelligence has said that the latest installment will head overseas to film in Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia.
