Google is a company that offers services of all kinds related to the internet. Among these, commercial services are also offered, with many tools to boost business.
What is Google Rising Retail Categories tool?
In 2020, thinking about the immediate effect that the COVID-19 pandemic would have on the market, Google launched the Rising Retail Categories tool. The company describes it as follows:
That is, with the Google Rising Retail Categories tool, business owners can quickly be aware of new market trends that are emerging in real time. So, they can adjust their offers to what the public is looking for.
But, in recent weeks, users of Google Rising Retail Categories have been facing issues as the tool is not working, and it just redirects them to a wrong page.
Rising Retail Categories tool not opening, redirects to wrong page
From multiple reports, when users try to open the Google Rising Retail Categories link, it only redirects them to another page. In some cases, they just get an error 404 message.
The problem reportedly started on December 10, 2021. So, since then, many users have not been able to continue using the benefits that the tool offers.
Tried subscribing to get the data over email but never received an email from Google with the rising retail categories.

Issue already escalated
Having said the above, a Product Expert from the Google support forums confirmed that the issue has already been escalated to higher levels.
So, for the moment, users affected by the problem can only wait for related updates to appear, in order to know when they can use the service again with normal standards.

04:34 pm (IST): A product expert on the Google forum has confirmed that the issue with Google Rising Retail Categories tool opening the wrong link has been resolved now.
