Ting Mobile is an American mobile virtual network operator that was founded in 2012. It is a part of Dish Wireless. The network provider makes use of the T-Mobile network and is known for providing cheap plans.
That being said, Ting supports devices that are compatible with Sprint CDMA, T-Mobile GSM, and Verizon CDMA. The company sells devices on its website which can then be activated by entering the electronic serial number.
However, some Ting Mobile subscribers are now reporting that they are unable to set up 2 step verification on their Google account using the phone number.
Many say that they are getting a “Sorry, we can’t fulfill this request at this time. Please try again later or use a different phone number” error when they try to do so.
With Google hell-bent on enforcing 2 step verification for users in the near future, this might be a problem for those who are unable to set it up.
In case you have recently switched your phone number and are unable to change the number, you might have to wait up to 7 days and try again. Also, Google might use the old number in case you recently changed it.
Fortunately, a Google Community Diamond Product Expert has shared a workaround that seems to have fixed the issue for some of those affected.
