With Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands now in the hands of gamers, fans of the franchise are getting the Borderlands gameplay they crave but from a fantasy point of view. Fortunately, this new setting resulted in Wonderlands launching to positive reviews, as it seems players are enjoying its fantastical world and gunplay. With that said, this is not to say the game didn’t receive flak from players who have encountered some of Wonderland’s more frustrating glitches, such as the infamous Brighthoof stairs bug. However, a brand-new update has arrived, and it sets out to purge glitches like this from the game.

Kicking off this week’s hotfix, the new Wonderlands update adds a new limited-time mini-event. Active from April 8 to April 14 at 9:00 AM PT, Optional Opportunities is the latest event to hit the Wonderlands. It asks players to loot marked enemies that appear throughout Tangledrift and Mount Craw. While not terribly exciting, this content will keep those who have completed the main story busy, as well as provide some neat loot for beginner Wonderlands players to farm.

On top of this, Gearbox Software revised the Chaos Chamber’s Featured Run to include the enemies Parasite and Pigwort. For the uninitiated, Featured Runs are available in the Chaos Chamber only for players who have conquered the main story. Unlike other runs, a Featured Run is pre-planned, so every player will face the same enemies and bosses every time the course is run. They rotate weekly every Thursday at 9:00 AM PT, and frequently have the leaderboard reset, which opens the window for other new players to reach the top.

Saving the best for last, this Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands update brings much-needed fixes to the game that vastly improves the experience. Ranging from weapon buffs and nerfs to adjustments to various side-quest objective locations, there is a lot for players to sink their teeth into:

  • Balanced overall weapon damage scaling. Hyperius Shotgun damage increased Blackpowder Shotgun damage increased Feriore Shotgun damage increased Skulldugger Assault Rifle damage increased Dahlia Assault Rifle damage decreased Stairs going into Brighthoof will no longer destroy items. The waypoint during the “Burning Hunger” side quest will no longer disappear when going back to Tangledrift. The Legendary Marshmallow spell now has fire before it spawns. Spore Warden’s Barrage now properly receives damage boost from rings. Spore Warden’s Barrage now works properly with Clawbringer’s “Fire Bolt” and Spellshot’s “One Slot One Kill” Kao Khan and the Heckdawer of the Hurricane now shows the correct magazine size on the item card. Polly will now not push Fatemakers to their deaths anymore. Ice Spike Spell has been adjusted to deal damage to individual targets once per cast. King Q’urub Hullsunder in Drowned Abyss now engages with the player from a further distance. Ron Rivote quest billboard has been moved to a new location to reduce confusion during the “Walk the Stalk” quest. Added Collision to some areas in Tangledrift.

It should be noted that these Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands update features were delivered through a hotfix, meaning that no download is required to access the content. While major patches will come in the future, all players need to do is relaunch the game to try out all the segments listed above.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
