It’s true that strength may not be everything in life but in the universe of Tokyo Revengers, raw power may be the difference between life and death. For the members of Toman and Moebius, honing their strength and fighting skills/techniques is a full-time job. It’s in Takemichi’s best interest to get in some gym days as fights are a rather regular occurrence for anyone involved with gangs.

While each character may be strong in their own unique ways, when it comes to raw physical power, not every character is evenly matched. Here is each main character in Tokyo Revengers, ranked by strength.

Disclaimer: Light story spoilers!

12 Emma Sano

Emma, Mikey’s half-sister, may be an important part of the series but she isn’t much of a fighter. As of the moment, the series has established her as an important tie to both Draken and Mikey as Mikey’s family and Draken’s long-time friend (and potential love interest).

Outside of her role as someone dear to Mikey and Draken (Hinata as well after they cleared up any misunderstandings about Takemichi), Emma isn’t exactly known for her strength but for her heart instead.

11 Naoto Tachibana

Naoto Tachibana is Hinata’s younger brother and he’s not exactly known for his raw physical strength. It’s true that Naoto lets Takemichi handle most of the heavy lifting (both figuratively and literally) in their investigation and pursuit to save Hinata’s life but Naoto pulls his weight in ways other than physical strength.

Naoto’s primary source of strength comes from his intelligence and deduction skills. After all, without Naoto’s help, Takemichi would have no leads in order to set a proper game plan.

10 Hinata Tachibana

Hinata is the overall catalyst for the events of the entire series as it is the protagonist’s, Takemichi’s, main goal to protect her. However, Hinata isn’t just Takemichi’s sweetheart and a pretty face. Hinata has shown off her strength (and her bravery) on multiple occasions throughout the series.

She may seem like a cute and innocent girl, but she isn’t scared to stand up for herself or those she loves, just like when she stood her ground against Mikey when she thought Takemichi was in trouble. Not many people have slapped the unstoppable Mikey and lived to tell the tale.

9 Takemichy (Takemichi Hanagaki)

Takemichi isn’t a perfect protagonist; he’s got his fair share of insecurities and weaknesses. However, it is his flaws that make him such an interesting character to follow throughout the Tokyo Revengers story. Takemichi is constantly down on himself, scolding himself for being too weak or too much of a coward, and while he does still have his struggles, it’s clear to see he’s trying his best.

Takemichi’s main strength lies within his resilience; he may not be as strong as Mikey and the others, but his near unbreakable will is definitely worth a lot. It’s a brave (and perhaps just a bit foolish) promise to make, but hopefully one day, Takemichi will make good on his word and actually become the head of Toman one day.

8 Akkun (Atsushi Sendo)

Akkun is the courageous leader of his group of friends. Akkun can handle his fair share of fights and despite knowing that in all likelihood he will lose a fight, he still stands his ground and tries his best to defend his friends.

Akkun’s main source of strength lies within his loyalty and his intense desire to protect his loved ones. The moment Akkun and his gang came in to save Draken and Takemichi, it was clear to fans that Akkun’s heart added to his physical strength.

7 Kazutora Hanemiya

Kazutora hasn’t had that many opportunities so far to showcase his strength but it’s clear that as one of the original founding members of Toman, he has a lot of hidden qualities. Kazutora can easily take care of himself in a fight but still clearly knows when to call in for some backup (or even resort to playing dirty).

He’s a dangerous force to be reckoned with and his spontaneity only makes him a bigger threat.

6 Chifuyu Matsuno

Chifuyu is Takemichi’s right-hand man and Toman’s First Division Vice-Captain. Chifuyu may be a kind person with a big heart but that won’t stop him from putting his fists to use when need be. Chifuyu is mostly a pacifist but can definitely take care of himself, no problem.

This Vice-Captain may be one of the less aggressive members of Toman but he’s proved the lengths of his strength on a few occasions. Takemichi should count himself lucky that he has such a strong and competent partner to cover his back.

5 Keisuke Baji

Baji is a former member of Toman and a new member of Valhalla. He’s showcased his aggressive physical strength many times in the small amount of time he’s been around in the series. Baji’s best friend, Chifuyu, knows firsthand exactly how strong Baji is after allowing him to beat him unconscious in order to join Valhalla and prove his loyalty.

Baji has also been known to take entire crowds of delinquents single-handedly in the past, so it’s no question that Baji deserves a high-ranking spot.

4 Shuji Hanma

Hanma has proved himself on multiple occasions; the most notable of the fights he was involved in being the time he faced off against Mikey and was actually able to achieve the impossible by blocking one of Mikey’s unstoppable kicks.

Not only was Hanma able to stand his own against Toman’s leader, but he was also able to face off against Draken as well. Despite Draken’s incredible strength, Hanma’s resilience triumphed and allowed him to absorb each and every hit.

3 Tetta Kisaki

While Kisaki hasn’t had many opportunities to show off the true levels of his raw physical power, knowing that he eventually becomes the leader of Toman in certain timelines proves that he must be powerful in his own right. It goes to say that one doesn’t rise to such an incredible position of power without being capable of great things themselves.

Kisaki’s true lengths of his power and strength lie within his ruthlessness and perseverance to achieve his goals, no matter what life may stand in the way.

2 Draken (Ken Ryuguji)

Draken is the vice-president and founding member of Toman. Draken is Mikey’s right-hand man and best bud. Takemichi describes Draken as Mikey’s heart but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have it in him to put up a good fight.

Draken didn’t simply earn his title as vice-president through Mikey’s favor; he fought his way to the top and earned his place rightfully. Draken’s rough upbringing during his childhood forced him to grow up at a young age. Draken grew up without having anyone to rely on, so he learned how to hone his strength and form to ensure he could take care of himself.

1 Mikey (Manjiro Sano)

There’s no surprise that the leader of Toman would be given the honor of being named the strongest within his series. There’s a reason why Mikey’s often referred to as “unstoppable”. Toman as a whole is an incredibly powerful force so it’s only natural their leader is a terrifyingly strong figure himself.

Mikey’s shown off his incredible strength on many occasions; he’s taken out kids much older than him at a young age, he’s held his own against crowds of enemies, and even took Hanma out with a single kick. Mikey holds raw strength, but it is his vulnerability to his emotions (namely anger) that allows him to truly brings out his monstrous power.
