Although Johnny Depp won his defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard, that doesn’t guarantee he’ll be back in the spotlight in Hollywood blockbusters.

Despite the best efforts of his ardent supporters, Depp’s reputation remains tarnished as a result of the actor’s self-admittedly deplorable behavior in his relationship with Heard. Heard’s career has been harmed as a result of the legal dispute. Depp has been sacked from the Disney serial ‘Pirates of the Caribbeans,’ which is set to have the sixth installment. Warner Bros. also forced the actor to depart the ‘Fantastic Beasts film franchise. Is he working on a new project soon?

Johnny Depp Movies

Depp appears to be welcome in France despite being “abandoned” by Hollywood. According to a January Variety article, Depp is poised to play King Louis XV in a film directed by French director Mann, who also co-stars in the film as Jeanne du Barry, Louis XV’s last mistress.

There are also unconfirmed reports that Depp has been cast in a Beetlejuice sequel, but this could be more of wish fulfillment on the side of his fans than anything else.

Tim Burton, who collaborated with Depp on several films including Edward Scissorhands, Todd Sweeney, Sleepy Hollow, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, directed Beetlejuice in 1988. Burton’s most recent collaboration with Depp was the 2016 film Alice Through the Looking Glass, which Burton did not direct but did produce. While the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star has been in other Burton films, including “Edward Scissorhands,” “Alice in Wonderland,” “Sleepy Hollow,” and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” he is friendly with the other alleged cast members.

A sequel to Beetlejuice has been rumored for decades, but it was confirmed in February when Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B joined the project.

Amber Heard Movies

Heard will star in two films, “Run Away With Me” and “In the Fire,” respectively.

“Run Away With Me,” according to IMDb, follows an American in Paris who falls passionately in love with a model before discovering the “criminal underworld” of the European modelling industry.

Meanwhile, in “In the Fire,” set in the 1890s, Heard plays a New York doctor who travels to a Colombian plantation to “care for a disturbed youngster.” She causes conflict with a priest who believes the boy is possessed while healing him.

Following her presence in next year’s “Aquaman and the Last Kingdom,” in which her role was drastically reduced, these listings on Heard’s IMDb page have appeared. While some, including Heard, thought that her role in the film had been cut due to the circus surrounding her divorce from Depp, Walter Hamada, the president of DC Films, put an end to the rumor.
