Total War: Warhammer 3 is the final entry in the Total War: Warhammer series, which takes the popular tabletop wargame Warhammer Fantasy Battles, where players purchase their own models and paint them, into a video game format. With a huge map, eight unique playable factions to choose from at launch, and a wealth of other new options compared to the previous two entries in the series, Total War: Warhammer 3 built up a lot of hype among fans.
As the third and final installment of the series, Total War: Warhammer 3 has had new players look to conquer their daemons, as Warhammer Fantasy fans look forward to when the maps of all three games will be combined. Although Total War: Warhammer 3 has been met with mostly good critical reception, this hasn’t stopped the game from being review bombed by users, with many pointing out problematic bugs that need to be fixed.
Bugs and glitches are a persisting problem in many modern game releases. Yet, Total War: Warhammer 3 has some more serious problems with performance for many playing the game. Those that believed their PCs would be able to run the game are facing issues with crashes and slow performance due to certain software installed on the game by developer Creative Assembly. In a recent post on Steam, Creative Assembly has detailed the fixes that will be coming to Total War: Warhammer 3 shortly.
In the post made by Creative Assembly, the company first addresses the positive experiences many have had playing Total War: Warhammer 3, and the members of the community that have helped others to fix their performance issues. Moving forward though, CA looks to tackle the problems existing for players, stating that “we are in the process of working on the first of several hotfixes to address the critical issues” outlined by the community. The company also claims that the first hotfix is scheduled to release later this week, however, this is subject to change.
There are multiple issues that fans are hoping will be addressed by CA in the coming days and weeks, though for many the problem persisting at the top of the list is one with performance. While Total War: Warhammer 3 does boast updates and upgrades for older game mechanics and visuals, the consensus is that the game largely looks graphically similar to its predecessors. Those with PCs that could play Total War Warhammer 1 & 2 are then feeling left out of the fun compared to those with higher end machines.
