Gentleman Jack (HBO)
After the show was cancelled, Suranne Jones and Sophie Rundle are commemorating Anne Lister’s legacy. Suranne sent a message on Instagram on July 8 saying, “While it is sad news Gentleman Jack will not be renewed, this show has brought so many together, enabled people to share their stories, brought joy, emotion and creativity, and gave me a real connection to you as its audience.”
Night Sky (Prime Video)
The Prime Video series starring Sissy Spacek and J.K. Simmons has been cancelled.
Million Dollar Listing New York (Bravo)
Bravo has put Million Dollar Listing New York on hold. So, don’t hold out hope for a season 10 anytime soon.
The Time Traveler’s Wife (HBO)
The Time Traveler’s Wife, starring Theo James and Rose Leslie, was cancelled by HBO after one season.
Why Women Kill (Paramount+)
The sitcom received a third season renewal from the streamer in late 2021, but they cancelled their plans this July. “Paramount+ has made the difficult decision not to move forward with Season 3 of Why Women Kill,” the streamer said in a statement. “We would like to thank our partners at CBS Studios and Imagine Television Studios, the amazing creator and showrunner Marc Cherry and the incredible writers, cast and crew for two memorable seasons.”
Tom Swift (The CW)
Just after five episodes, the Nancy Drew spin-off was cancelled.
Duncanville (Fox)
After three seasons, the Fox animated comedy series that starred Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, Ty Burrell, and Wiz Khalifa was cancelled. Six more episodes of the show will air on Hulu later in 2022.
Renewed TV Shows Of 2022
Only Murders in the Building (Hulu)
The third season of Only Murders in the Building has been scheduled, so the Arconia hasn’t left us yet.
The Ms. Pat Show (BET+)
The third season of Patricia Williams’ sitcom will air on BET+.
Evil (Paramount+)
Evil would receive a fourth season, according to a July 6 announcement from Paramount+.
Magnum P.I. (NBC/CBS)
The reboot was dropped by CBS in May but was saved by NBC, which ordered two additional seasons. “It was a bit circuitous but we did it!” star Jay Hernandez tweeted. “Your love & support helped get us over the finish line, thank you & thanks to @nbc for stepping up! Time to dust off the Aloha shirt! #ohana”
The Old Man (FX)
A second season of the Jeff Bridges-starring show is planned.
Selling Sunset (Netflix)
The glamorous real estate saga was renewed for not one, but two additional seasons, according to a Netflix announcement made on June 22. Season six’s filming is supposed to launch in the summer of 2022.
Dark Winds (AMC)
Even though Dark Winds only recently had its television debut on AMC and AMC+ on June 12, a second season has already been demanded.
