Unsurprisingly, Twitch’s revenue amounted to more than $2.3 billion in 2020, with reports suggesting that it is set to grow in the coming years.
But like the majority of online streaming services, users do encounter bugs and issues such as the app crashing on Fire TV, Xbox and PlayStation and buffering issues on PlayStation 4.
Having said that, Twitch users are now complaining (1,2,3,4,5) that the chat keeps disconnecting or freezing on the mobile app.
Users say they have already tried generic solutions such as reinstalling the app and clearing data and cache but to no avail.
Twitch mobile app viewers are angry and frustrated with the developers since they are unable to use one of the core features offered by the platform – live chat.
Fortunately, Twitch Support commented on the issue and said they have escalated the problem where chat keeps disconnecting or freezing on the mobile app for investigation.
We hope the developers soon find out what the problem is and fix it in the coming days. As always, we will be looking out for more information and update this article when the chat issue is fixed so stay tuned to PiunikaWeb.
