Here’s the crux of the article in video form:

It was only recently that Twitter’s ‘Copy to clipboard’ function stopped working on Android app.

We also highlighted a glitch in the past when some Android users started experiencing issues with tweeting, retweeting, quote retweeting & the reply button.

Now, the screen is becoming unresponsive and blank the moment the Twitter app is opened.

Twitter app shows blank screen

Over the past few hours, many Twitter users (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) are reporting an issue where their screen appears blank.

The reports are primarily from various Google Pixel devices running the latest Android 13 OS. For some reason, the issue only affects the Twitter app.

It is quite inconvenient for users as Twitter works just fine on the web browser. Even though the app shows the normal navigation buttons at the bottom, none of them are functional.

Affected users have even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but to no avail.

Official acknowledgment

Fortunately, Twitter has acknowledged the issue and said that the team is working on a fix.

Potential workaround

Turning on the notifications for Twitter app seems to fix the issue, according to an affected user.

For the time being, Android app users can try the above-mentioned workaround or use the web version, which as earlier noted, isn’t affected. We’ll keep tabs on the issue and update the article accordingly.
