The Carters’ “Everything Is Love” was released four years ago, and it took even longer to find Beyoncé’s final solo album, “Lemonade” in 2016. With the announcement of a new drop next month, all of that is about to change!
The information was almost covertly released by Tidal in a late-night Wednesday social media post, but that didn’t seem to stop the Beyhive from instantly beating on it and making her name trend on Twitter.
There were little clues in the release itself, but one intriguing passage makes it seem like there might not be another six-year gap between projects.
The album, “RENAISSANCE,” will be released on July 29 (hopefully not as a Tidal exclusive), but what really piques our interest and gives us hope that we won’t have to wait too long for a “act ii” is the “act I on the title card.
We can all agree that she is quite busy with all the duties of being the Queen, but six years is a long time to be thinking, writing, composing, and perhaps even recording music. What number of “acts” may this project have?
Also, does “RENAISSANCE” refer to the entire production or simply this particular “act”? Although the names of the 16 tracks have not been revealed, it does appear that you may pre-order it right now.
Given how many questions we have, it’s probably for the best that the solutions won’t be available for another month or two. We might even receive a single drop prior to the release of the entire album.
The main uncertainty right now is whether her enormous fan base, which made her name trend at the top of Twitter practically as soon as the revelation was announced, can endure for that long.
Someone please remind them to breathe. The memes will at least keep us all entertained till the album is released.
