Twitter is one of the largest social media platforms on the internet. It enables users to share messages of up to 280 characters known as tweets. It has more than 330 million monthly active users and 145 million daily users.
But despite its popularity, users often face issues such as replies not loading or being unable to view threads and the app scrolling to the top with back button.
That said, it looks like a new problem has surfaced. According to recent reports from Twitter users, many say they are still getting notifications even if they mute conversations (1,2,3,4,5).
It is really frustrating since the platform is reminding them about conversations they don’t want to keep track of anymore.
Some say they tried clearing app data, cache, and even reinstalling the app altogether but nothing seems to help. Below are some reports from Twitter users who are unable to mute conversations.
As it turns out, Twitter Support seems to be aware of the issue where some users are unable to mute conversations and said they are looking into the problem. However, they did not share any timeframe on when the issue will be resolved.
Until then, we will be keeping an eye out and update this article as and when we come across more information so make sure you stay tuned for further updates.
