On the film front, Varun has last seen in Antim: The Final Truth directed by Mahesh Manrekar. Starring Salman Khan, Ayush Sharma, Mahima Makwana. The story revolves around the face-off between a police officer and a gangster, and like the original, it explores the hard conditions faced by farmers that pushes some of them towards crime.
His upcoming movie is Jug Jugg Jeeyo and Bhediya. Jug Jugg Jeeyo is a comedy-drama film directed by Raj Mehta and produced by Hiro Yash Johar, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta. It stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Varun and Kiara Advani alongside Prajakta Kholi and Manish Paul and going to release on 24 June 2022. Whereas Bhediya is a horror film directed by Aman Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan, featuring Varun and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles with Janhvi Kapoor and Flora Saini reprising their roles from the previous instalments Roohi and Stree and going to released on 25 November 2022.
