A photo of Tom Hardy was posted online that showed the Venom star wearing a Spider-Man: No Way Home production hat, which fans think proves that the actor makes an appearance in the upcoming MCU superhero film. The Spider-man: No Way Home trailer recently dropped and fans have been speculating with theories left and right, as that’s part of the fun.

Hardy is leading his own film as the villain/anti-hero Eddie Brock/Venom in the upcoming Venom: Let There Be Carnage, which is also the debut of the sinister Carnage. Many have been asking when or if they’ll see Hardy’s Venom and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man meet in the same film. The responses fans have got are all over the spectrum, to the point where anything is possible but nobody is expecting it anytime soon.

Recently, a photo was posted on a Brazilian Spider-Man fan account that shows Hardy wearing a Spider-Man: No Way Home production hat. While it’s true that a production hat or paraphernalia can be easily acquired by actors, it’s particularly odd for someone who wasn’t thought to be in Spider-Man: No Way Home to have a production hat in their possession to begin with. Many view this as a tease or confirmation of Venom appearing in No Way Home without verbally confirming.

Hardy has been doing a great job as Eddie Brock in the Venom films and serving as a trailblazer in the predominantly vacant solo-led supervillain film genre. Many like the actor, so much so that they want to see him appear in a film with Holland’s web-slinging superhero.

If this is true that Hardy’s Venom appears in the upcoming Spider-Man film, then this opens the door for more Sony crossovers with Disney’s Marvel properties. It will also serve as a big bomb to drop on Spider-Man fans if they get the showdown with Venom fight that fans deserve.

Still, if this is just a coincidence, then it won’t ruin Spider-Man: No Way Home or make it worse. The upcoming film doesn’t need to introduce Venom in order to do well. No Way Home will be fine on the plot alone, as the trailer teased a lot to come for the upcoming film.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 17, 2021.
