NOTICE: We’ve compiled a comprehensive Android 11 update tracker for all the major OEMs and carriers, and will be updating it continuously. Apart from that, we’re also maintaining a separate Android 11 tracker for the big 4 US carriers.
With each release of Android, Google brings a bunch of new improvements and features to make the user experience more pleasant. With the past few versions, Google has focused on improving user privacy and security.
This is more noticeable with the latest Android 11 (Android R) update. Google released the first Android 11 beta back in June. It was available for the Pixel 2/2 XL, Pixel 3/3 XL, Pixel 3a, and the Pixel 4/4 XL.
Further, towards the beginning of July, the beta was already available on 13 devices from 7 vendors. This is an improvement over previous Android releases which saw only a few OEMs participating in the beta program.
Android updates are often delayed on devices due to various reasons. For the most part, the OEM is responsible for seeding an update. However, carrier-branded phones have another hurdle to jump over before rolling out to users.
This is because carriers such as Verizon conduct their own internal testing before pushing any system update. As a result, OTA updates for such devices are often delayed.
Verizon Android 11 update: Eligible devices
Most OEMs release at least 2-3 major Android updates for their devices. Taking this and other past trends into account, we’ve compiled a list of Verizon-branded devices that might receive the upcoming Android 11 update.
Even though this is not an official confirmation, we’re pretty confident most phones on the list will grab it.

These are the phones from Verizon that may grab the Android 11 update. Unfortunately, we do not have a definitive timeline for the release of the upcoming Android version for the devices. Usually, carrier-branded phones receive a new update within a month of its release for unlocked units.
Of course, there are a few exceptions, hence the update might be delayed or pushed early depending on the situation. Further, not all carriers carry the same devices nor do they release updates at the same time.
On that note, we’ve also compiled a list of T-Mobile Android 11 eligible phones. Moreover, you can check out our Android 11 update trackers for OEMs such as Xiaomi, Vivo, Huawei/Honor, OnePlus, and Realme.
