After executing Jack in the Season 2 finale, Benjamin Hollingsworth’s character was just put inside the prison as season 4 of Virgin River on Netflix premiered. Additionally, Brady’s little time behind the bars yard was surely noteworthy.
“That was definitely a first for me,” Hollingsworth said. “I got to work on that with the stunt coordinator, which was a lot of fun. We came up with kind of a dance where you hopefully didn’t see the shank coming.”
Even though it quickly became evident that Vince, not Brady, was the one who shot, Hollingsworth never had any doubts about Vince’s character.
Speaking about coming to like Brady, Hollingsworth points out that the romance between his character and Brie played a significant role in his progress.
“It will make you explore areas of life and of yourself that you might not have otherwise, and it changes you as a person.”
In fact, Brady approaching the room to discover Brie sobbing and broken-hearted was Hollingsworth’s favorite scene from Season 4.
He says that when she was dealing with the stress of her previous relationship with Dom, Brady was sympathetic and open with her. He listens as well as shares with her. We don’t get to see him do this too often.
But these are merely the beginning—prison shanking and baseless charges. Season 5, which is under development in Vancouver, will reportedly deliver much more “surprise” curveballs to the folks of Virgin River, according to Hollingsworth.
Hollingsworth states of Melissa, “[Fear] is a healthy emotion to have when it comes to her.” The idea that she is eating dinner with Jack and Mel at the conclusion raises suspicions because she is certainly up to no good.
