There are many quirky and unique characters that the player will have to interact with in Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars to acquire Mystery Cards. The fourth of these enigmatic black and gold Mystery Cards can be found in Woodland, similar to Mystery Card 3.
However, gamers will still have to finish helping Ridis with her house fire problem first. This is because the NPC who has Mystery Card 4 will need to be forced to do something rather specific. Besides that, though, getting them to hand over the Mystery Card won’t be too difficult.
Requirements Needed To Trigger The NPC
About The Well Water Fanatic
When players first enter Woodland, they can speak to the well water fanatic as he appreciates the town well in the south of this location. However, it’s not possible to get Mystery Card 4 from him yet, as one cannot initiate the event that leads to it upon the first meeting. Since there is lots of liquid to enjoy in the well, the elderly gentleman will only repeat the same dialogue as he relaxes by the source of water.
How To Unlock The Well Water Fanatic Event
Players will have to drain the well of all water during the story-related event of having to put out a fire in the north of Woodland. This happens when the character Mar sucks up all the water in their inhuman body before running to the burning building and dousing it with the former contents of the well.
This will progress the main quest and can be done by simply interacting with the character Ridis and her flaming house. This will also cause the well water fanatic to lament over the loss of his lovely liquid, causing him to act strangely.
How To Get Mystery Card 4 From The Well Water Fanatic
Talk To The Well Water Fanatic After Putting Out The Fire
Talking to the older villager will reveal that he has gone partially mad at the lack of his beloved well water. He has begun trying to dig into the ground itself in desperation and has injured his hands as a result. As the player’s party approaches, the fanatic seems like he could use some medical attention. After some dialogue with the well water fanatic, gamers will be offered a choice to give him a salve or to give him nothing.
Whether Or Not To Give The Well Water Fanatic A Salve
Players should definitely give the well water fanatic a salve, as this will eventually lead him into handing over Mystery Card 4. However, after donating the healing item, the man will use it to restore his hands as well as his vigor. Players will be treated to a cutscene of the fanatic successfully digging a new well with his bare hands, which causes a geyser of water to shoot out victoriously. After celebrating, the well water fanatic thanks the player with Mystery Card 4.
Where To Get A Salve
Such items are easy to acquire through normal exploration and looting, so it’s likely that players have a few spare ones in their inventory. However, if one does not have any, salves can be bought at an apothecary, one of which can be found in Woodland not far from the well.
While at an apothecary, it is recommended to sell items that one doesn’t need and maybe buy some additional salves, as well as more healing and restorative consumables. Inventory management isn’t a huge part of this game but being prepared is always an advantage.
