The latest entrant to this is the Californian tech giant, Apple. Apple forayed into on-demand video streaming service with the Apple TV+ back in November 2019.
Moreover, users on Reddit have often raised queries on whether the Apple TV app can be sideloaded to Android TV or not. You can check out some of the user queries below:
In fact, as already mentioned Apple TV+ is now available for Fire TV, but a mere sideloading on an Android TV won’t do the trick. Luckily, there is a workaround available.

Wife got 1 year free of Apple TV and really don’t want to buy another device to use it.
Thanks to a Redditor, u/513, users can now make Apple TV+ work on an Android TV via Firefox. However, there is a catch to this as you won’t be able to stream the content in HDR, 4K, etc.
According to the workaround suggested by the user, you simply need to download and install Firefox for Android TV or Fire TV from a trusted third-party source or from here.
Then, simply head to the tv.apple.com website, then login and start streaming the content. Note that this method was used on the NVidia Shield TV and the user is not sure whether it would work for the Mi Box as well.
Matter of fact, the same user who came with this trick has also shared some images of the Apple TV+ working on an Android TV. You can check out the images below:
Moreover, according to a report, Apple has announced that it will be expanding its support and will be bringing the Apple TV app for select Sony and Vizio smart TVs later this year.
Let us know in the comments below if the above workaround worked on your Android TV or not.
