Looks like there’s a major Wells Fargo outage. As per reports, neither the website nor app is working at the moment. Even text banking is down and cards can’t be used as well.
Users are taking to social media to share the ongoing problems and issues as well as vent their frustration. Here are some reports:

As of now, the company hasn’t said anything through its social media channels on the ongoing service disruption, but we are keeping a close eye. Will update the story as and when we have more newsworthy information.
It’s worth mentioning that this is the second time this month Wells Fargo has suffered such a major outage. The company even publicly apologized for the previous glitch that happened on February 01.

IST 11:15 am: According to multiple recent reports, it seems the Wells Fargo app and website are once again not working for many and an official acknowledgement on the same is still awaited.
Update 25 (October 29, 2021)
IST 02:40 pm: Downdetector conveys that Wells Fargo is encountering some issues right now, as can be seen in the live outage map below.
IST 03:35 pm: It seems that most Wells Fargo bankers are facing issues with Direct Deposits as they aren’t receiving money on time. Unfortunately, the bank is yet to make any comments on the outage.
Update 26 (October 30, 2021)
IST 12:01 pm: It seems that the issues impacting Wells Fargo customers have been resolved if the lack of reports is to be taken into account. Further, a couple of individuals confirmed that things are working fine on their end now.
Update 27 (July 6, 2022)
IST 08:50 am: Many Wells Fargo account holders have taken to Twitter to report that the app and website are currently down and not working. Users aren’t able to log in or use the bank’s online service.
Fortunately, the bank’s support team has confirmed that they are aware of the problem and a fix is underway.
IST 05:36 pm: Wells Fargo support team confirmed that all company services (app and website) have finally been restored.

IST 10:45 am: While Wells Fargo support maintains that the issue has been resolved, they’ve asked those still facing the issue to reach out via phone.

11:07 am (IST): A user alleged that there was a security breach at Wells Fargo on May 23. And users started having trouble with the website and app ever since this news broke on Telegram.
However, we recommend you take this information with a pinch of salt as its not been officially verified by the bank.

04:35 pm (IST): A sudden surge in reports on Downdetector indicates that Wells Fargo is currently down and not working.

10:10 pm (IST): Wells Fargo support did acknowledge the issue, but there was no follow-up saying that it’s fixed.
That said, it does seem to have been fixed already as we don’t see any fresh reports about the issue.

06:05 pm (IST): According to multiple reports, Wells Fargo users are facing issues while logging into their accounts (1,2,3).
Luckily, Wells Fargo support didn’t take too long to acknowledge this issue and said that the team is working to resolve it as soon as possible. However, there’s no ETA for the fix.
