In the wake of Shark Tank, which is an American reality TV show, Shark Tank India has been launched. The show’s first Indian edition aired on December 20, 2021, on Sony Entertainment Television.

Sony Entertainment Television brought the long-running series to India on Monday with its own cover, Shark Tank India, and aired the first of 30 episodes with the promise of seven Mughals, or “sharks”. According to Sony TV, the program received 62,000 applicants from India, out of which 198 companies were selected to present their ideas to the “sharks”.
